Creating chocolate magic since 1950, Compartés turns chocolate into art. The original shop was born from a love of old-world European chocolate-making, and it quickly became a beloved local fixture, the kind of place regulars have been walking into for three generations.
Today Compartés is led by chocolatier Jonathan Grahm, who started dipping truffles in the shop at fifteen and took the reins from his family in his early twenties, reinventing the brand into a modern, design-forward chocolate house. His hand-painted bars and sculptural truffles merge flavor with style, the only chocolate ever to earn a perfect score from Bon Appétit, a longtime Oprah favorite, and celebrated in the Smithsonian for its packaging design.
